Disassembly is almost complete here, but these beams still have another life in them

We harvest lumber from a variety of sources. Old buildings and structures slated for demolition are a great resource for antique wood. In some cases, this very useable material might simply have become landfill. With the proper handling and re-work it can now become flooring, furniture, or beams for re-construction.

Because reclaimed lumber has already been somewhere else - often for a very long time - it is well-aged and worn. The influence of the elements, wear and tear by man and the passing of time have created a unique and often very desireable surface.

Sometimes the best part of antique lumber is right under the surface. Resawing the wood allows these natural characteristics to be revealed. Even after resawing and milling, antique wood still has a mature and aged look full of character and history.
